Horrible. Will never ever go there again.

I went into pet smart today (Manchester, CT) to get two of my dogs groomed. I've been to this store many times and brought my dogs and have always had very good and positive experiences except for today. Today was actually so bad I will never ever spend another time at pet smart and will tell everyone I know possible to never shop there ever again. I also will be calling corporate and making a huge deal of this til something is done. I brought my dogs for groomed (paid over $140 for both). After dropping them off, about 30 mins later I got a phone call from pet smart stating my dogs were "infested" with fleas and if I treated them for fleas recently. I stated to them I use pet armor on them every month, plus flea baths every week and comb them 3 times a day. My dogs spend the majority of the day outside upon their own free will, which they love. I knew my dogs had fleas but I knoe 110% they're not "infested". I then was yelled at on the phone because of this and just took it and hung up. Couple hours later, I went back to pet smart to see how my pups were doing. Still not done, I browsed around, then sat on the bench outside the grooming salon to weight. Some pet smart employee approached me In a group of people asking if that was my dog on the table being cut. I said yes and smiled. She then gave me a dirty look and said that's really sad. I said excuse me? Very confused as to what she was talking about. She then stated, it's very sad the conditions of my dogs (mind you, one of them was groomed less than 4 months ago and the other I have been trying to snip myself with scissors after every bath) I then asked this employee what exactly she was talking about meaning the condition of my dogs? She then told me how disgusting it was my dogs were "infested" with fleas and one of my dogs had an infected eye ( my dog has a flipped tear duct also called a popped cherry. It is not infected and has been seen by a vet multiple times and the eye just had extra drainage due to the flipped tear duct) she then also stated to me, still in front of many of my friends and other customers at the store walking by that I'm the type of person she would be reporting For animal abuse. I said are you serious now? I explained to her about how I treat them for fleas and my dogs eye is not infected. She said it was none of her business (yet she just shamed me in front of my friends and random customers about this) and she walked away Inside ththe grooming salon. I walked in the salon after her in tears from being so hurt she could possibly think I abuse my dogs. I asked if there was a manager around and long and behold, the manager was the lady who approached me outside the salon doors in front of the store. She then began scolding me again how "I'm a bad pup mom" for putting my dogs in the condition they are. I told her, I've been here many times with 4 of my dogs in the same "condition" and nothing has ever been said to me besides they did great and flea baths were needed. I've never ever been told they were disgusting and infested. I told her how hurt I was she just said I abused my dogs I would never bring them back here again. I'm very positive many people come into pet smart with dogs with fleas and in need of haircuts, hence the reason for them to be groomed. This manager, from Manchester, CT store named Kathy not only disrespected me as a returning and big paying customer but shamed me in front of my peers and strangers. I expect something to be done and I will not ever drop this until something is. This is not how a manager should be treating customers.
